Outside Sales Reps Wanted

California Vermiculture is seeking qualified individuals to act as independent outside sales representitives to promote our products.  Primary sales focus will be Worm Gold Solution. This is a 1099 commissions-only position. 

We are currently signing reps for the following geographic areas (in order of precedence): 

North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Michigan


  • Commercial Sales Experience
  • Valid drivers license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Time management skills
  • Progress reporting skills
  • Ability to develop close working relationships with farmers, growers and other business owners
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic computer skills and ability to connect to the internet from home

Other Considerations:

  • Currently working as outside sales rep in AG industry is a BIG PLUS
  • Equipment sales experience is a plus
  • Previous experience with organic fertilizer sales is a plus
  • Previous experience with the agriculture industry is a plus
  • Horticulture/Botany experience is a plus
  • Any college degrees in plant science is a plus

Coverage Area:

Outside reps will be expected to cover a 100 mile radius of their home location. We will not put more than 2 reps in an area. Reps may work as teams if desired.  Sales areas may be designated by county or zip codes. Overlapping areas will be kept to a minimum.


We will provide training for all reps to get up to speed with the products we offer.  A proficiency test may be required at the end of the training period to insure reps can discuss the products with clients in a professional manner.  We do not set a specific time duration for completing our training program, as some reps may be able to get up to speed faster than others.


Commissions are paid on a percentage of gross sales basis. Commission percentages vary by product. We pay out commissions for all confirmed sales on a bi-weekly basis.

Contract and Performance:

All outside sales reps will be expected to provide performance reports. Outside sales reps will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement to protect any confidential company information. Failure to provide progress reports in a timely manner will result in a review to consider action.  Action can and may include termination of contract.  Full contract details will be provided to potential reps after establishing they meet our minimum requirements for the position.
